Icarus International Group LLC Obtains the ASA Re-Accreditation

Icarus International Group LLC has met the requirements of the Aviation Suppliers Association's Quality System Standards and has been Re-Accredited the  "ASA-100" and "FAA Advisory Circular 00-56A" Certificate. The new certification is valid until June 2014. Aviation Suppliers Association promotes safety, regulatory compliance and ethical business practices among aviation parts suppliers and through the aviation community.

General Manager Thouki Stavris and Director of Purchasing and Sales Michael Zoes from Icarus International Group were among the 6,000 executives and industry professionals representing nearly the entire spectrum of business in the aviation aftermarket industry in attendance at the 16th MRO Americas 2011. Representatives from I2I Engines, a partner company of Icarus International, also participated in the world’s largest industry event intended to help develop professional relationships and give companies exposure to new technology.

New Website

Icarus International has launched a new corporate website. This new site is designed and engineered to capture the essence and professional online presence of the company. User friendly, fast, and efficient, the new website reflects the business philosophy of Icarus and provides customers with an updated and faster inventory search engine, an RFQ module, a new Feature Components field, and a more up-to-date user interface.

New CF6-50 engine

Icarus International reached an agreement with Pacific Aviation Group in Victorville, California for the sale of a CF6-50E2 engine operated by Cathay Pacific. This engine will be transported to I2I Engines in Miami for disassembly. Some of these parts will be used on other serviceable CF6-50 engines, while most parts will be overhauled and added to our own parts inventory.

He will hit the ground running with Icarus, taking a position that is responsible for the oversight and development of the company’s further success. With seventeen years of experience in the European and U.S. markets, Mr. Zoes brings his vast professional knowledge with him to give Icarus a competitive edge as they seek to expand in those regions. A graduate of BCC of Paramus, New Jersey, Mr. Zoes has also continued his education in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, and Greece through programs that emphasized sales and business.
