Icarus Expands Inventory with Acquisition of Four Additional CFM56-3 Engines

Icarus International Group LLC is pleased to announce the acquisition of four additional CFM56-3 engines, further strengthening the company’s position as one of the aviation industry’s leading specialists in CFM56-3 engine sales, asset management, and trading. Icarus has transactioned over 120 CFM56-3C1 engines over the past few years.

The newly acquired engines will undergo detailed technical evaluation and will be incorporated into Icarus’ ongoing engine repair, component recovery, and asset optimization programs. The acquisition aligns with the company’s long-term strategy of expanding its inventory of CFM56-3 assets to better support airlines, maintenance providers, and aircraft operators worldwide.

With this latest purchase, Icarus continues to build on its extensive track record in the CFM56-3 market, having acquired, repaired, disassembled, and sold more than 120 engines over the past several years. The company remains focused exclusively on the CFM56-3 platform, enabling it to offer customers deep technical expertise, efficient sourcing solutions, and reliable engine availability.

Despite the maturity of the B737 Classic fleet, demand for quality CFM56-3 serviceable engines abd assets remains strong,” said Icarus’ Vice President Of Purchasing & Sales, Michael Zoes.  representative. “These acquisitions allow us to continue supporting operators and maintenance organizations with the engines and material they need to keep aircraft flying safely and economically.

The engines were acquired as part of Icarus’ ongoing global sourcing initiative, which focuses on identifying opportunities to acquire serviceable and unserviceable assets that can be repaired, overhauled, or strategically disassembled to maximize value for customers and stakeholders.
